Accuracy first
Our guides explain how games, bets, bonuses and the rules around gambling work. We use official sources wherever we can: the UK Gambling Commission, legislation, operators' own terms, game providers' published rules and RTP figures, and sports governing bodies for fixtures and dates.
Offer details are never typed in by hand in our articles. They come from our offers database, which is checked against each operator's own feed several times a day and reviewed by a person when terms change.
How we use AI
Some of our guides are drafted with the help of AI writing tools, working from a brief and the facts we supply. Every AI-assisted draft then goes through automatic checks before it can be published:
- quality checks, such as length, structure and working links;
- an advertising compliance check against the CAP Code and UK Gambling Commission rules;
- a separate AI compliance review;
- for time-sensitive topics such as fixtures and events, a fact check against current web sources.
Drafts that fail any check are held for a person to review and edit.
What our bylines mean
- "By" an editor means the guide belongs to that editor's subject, and they are responsible for keeping it accurate and up to date. Our editors write under pen names, and each pen name belongs to a specific person on the team who leads that subject. You can read about them on our editors page.
- "Reviewed by" an editor means that editor has read and checked the page on the date shown.
- "PlayOffers editorial team" means the page, such as a ranking or a review, is maintained by the whole team rather than one editor.
When a reviewed page is changed significantly, the "Reviewed by" line is removed until it has been reviewed again.
Safer gambling in everything we publish
We never describe gambling as a source of income or a solution to problems, we don't target or appeal to under-18s, and we include support information on every page that discusses playing for money.
